Celebrate LPG Day

International Propane Day
On this International Propane Day, celebrated on June 7, let's take a look at the applications and qualities of propane, on which nearly 2 billion people worldwide depend.
- Did you know that North America accounts for 51% of total propane use in agriculture?
- Or that Turkey accounts for almost 15% of the world's self-propane consumption?
- Or that domestic use accounts for 90% of propane consumption in India?
The role of propane is of paramount importance throughout the world as we know it in Quebec, whether for commercial, construction, agricultural, industrial, professional or individual catering, for self-propane or for the pleasure of meeting around a BBQ, a swimming pool or a hot-air balloon flight!
It's also the energy of resilience, available everywhere and at all times, when our Quebec winters make other energies fail and our safety depends on it. In other parts of the world, it's the energy of emergency situations for refugees affected by natural disasters. In all cases, it would be impossible to do without it.
But the global propane industry is also looking to the future, with renewable propane already present in Europe and North America. While propane is a less polluting energy than other fossil fuels, green propane is the carbon-neutral step that the joint global effort is developing for the environment and for future generations wherever they may be.
